Doncaster Handicap
The Doncaster Handicap is a Group 1 thoroughbred horse race held at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. It is held each year on Easter Monday and runs over 1600 metres. The current prize money is around $2.5 million. Many great horses have won this race, including several who have also won the spring equivalent, the Epsom Handicap, while Super Impose created history in 1990 and 1991 by becoming the only horse to win both races, not only once, but twice!
Past Doncaster Handicap winners include Haradasun, Racing To Win, Patezza, Private Steer, Grand Armee, Sunline, Assertive Lad and Over.
