ATP Atlanta 2010 Mardy Fish vs John Isner

Sunday, July 25th, 2010 posted by Dorian

Mardy has never been so confident and is playing really well since Queen's Club. He broke Andy Roddick's nine game winning streak in the semi-final and looked great at the net. His movement is so much better than it used to be and his backhand was working great. Fish's weight loss and diet are really paying off with three finals from last four ATP events. John is confident as well but the way he played against Kevin Anderson in the semi-final he shouldn't really have a chance against Mardy. Isner...

ATP Atlanta 2010 Andy Roddick vs Mardy Fish

Fish is in top form and he couldn't be feeling better about his game right now. Roddick on the other hand is not feeling well and there are no signs of his game. Mardy continues his great run with no points to defend and didn't drop a single set in his road to the semi-final. "I'm playing great. This is the best tennis I've played my whole life" said Mardy after trashing his countryman Taylor Dent 6-3, 6-0 in the quarter-final. Xavier Malisse played well against Roddick in the quarter-final where...

John Isner was great against Michael Russell in the quarter finals. John will now face Kevin Anderson in the semi-final and will have the mental edge and the crowd support. Isner has beaten the South African in every important meeting including a big match between University of Georgia and Illinois, winning their last two meetings in straight sets including four months ago at Indian Wells and two years ago at Queen's Club. Anderson served very well in his quarter final against Lacko and his second...

Lleyton Hewitt enjoys tennis in North America. He's won 11 of his 28 tour-level titles in North America and will try to get his 12th title this week at Atlanta. Lleyton is back after serious injury problems and looks to be very motivated to finding his old form. Lleyton is one of the most reliable players in the ATP Tour, winning at least one title out of 12 in the past 13 years. He's showed very solid tennis this year, especially against Roger Federer in the final match at Halle. In this second...

Australian tennis aces should have done better

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 posted by Dorian

This week two Australians were sent home by their opponents. On Tuesday at Portoroz, in Slovenia and then at Atlanta, in the USA. It's not really the results that were disappointing but the way Anastasia Rodionova and Nick Lindahl lost. Had they been more focused on the day we would be writing about two Aussies in the second round at this week's tournaments. Rodionova started well against Italian Maria Elena Camerin. She won a tight first set with 6-4, playing better on the decisive moments. Then...
