At the Montreal WTA first round matches take place on Monday.

Betting Tips:

Kaia Kanepi vs Shahar Peer – Peer has won all the three past meetings in straight sets. It is true that Kanepi won their last match in the Fed Cup but Peer is much better at the moment. Bet on Shahar to win at $1.62.

Angelique Kerber vs Yaroslava Shvedova – Since Wimbledon, Kerber played only a third round at Copenhagen, while Shvedova has played already two events on US soil, with solid 1st round results. Bet on Yaroslava to win at $1.70.

Alexandra Dulgheru vs Sybille Bammer – Dulgheru defeated Bammer in their first meeting in front of an Austrian crowd last year in straight sets, and Bammer is playing worse at the moment too. Bet on Alexandra to win at $1.62.

Aravane Rezai vs Petra Kvitova – Since her fantastic tournament at the All England Club, Kvitova lost at all three events she has played in the first round, and against poor players like Voegele, Sevastova or Carstea. Bet on Aravane to win at $1.65.

Virginie Razzano vs Patty Schnyder – Two experienced players will meet each other for the 6th time. Schnyder has more talent and won their last match at Razzano’s home tournament, in Paris this year. Bet on Patty to win again.

Jarmilla Groth vs Alona Bondarenko – Groth is hitting winners from all over the court nowadays, playing very well. The Australian has won her only match against Alona five years ago in Luxembourg. Bet on Jarmilla to win.

Sara Errani vs Iveta Benesova – Errani is not playing fantastic but is consistent and didn’t lose in a first round for two months, while Benesova hasn’t achieve anything in the past few months losing almost always in the first round. Bet on Sara to win.

Andrea Petkovic vs Dinara Safina – It’s really tough to predict, with Petkovic being so inconsistent and preferring to play rather on clay and Safina struggling to find some form after her injury issues. Bet on 3 Set Match at $2.25.

Vania King vs Anabel Medina Garrigues – Since May, King managed to make just once the 2nd round, while Medina Garrigues seemed to be more consistent, reaching the quarter-finals twice in Budapest and Prague. Bet on Anabel to win.

Timea Bacsinszky vs Aleksandra Wozniak – Wozniak returned to Montreal after withdrawing from events in San Diego and Cincinnati more for the reason of playing in front of her fans but she is not fully fit to beat Bacsinszky. Bet on Timea to win at $1.91.

Yanina Wickmayer vs Olga Govortsova – Govortsova won only one match in her last six tournaments and won’t have too many chances against the sharp Swiss player. Bet on Yanina to win in straight sets at $ 1.75.

Stephanie Dubois vs Klara Zakopalova – On this surface Zakopalova beat Dubois 6-1, 6-4 just three months ago and now with the help of Canadian crowd I don’t expect any different outcome. Bet on Klara to win in straight sets at $1.58.
