ANZ Classifications have been released to reflect the best individual performances during the recently concluded racing year in Australia & New Zealand. The highest rating for an individual performance during the season was 122 points achieved by the Bart Cummings trained pair So You Think and Viewed.
So You Think won the Group 1 Cox Plate at just his fifth race start and replicated his great performance rating of 122 again in the Group 1 Cantala Stakes over 1600m carrying 53.5kg when second to All American.
Viewed became the first horse since Rising Fast (1955) to come back and win a Caulfield Cup after winning the Melbourne Cup in the previous year. In carrying 57kg to victory in the world’s richest 2400m handicap Viewed generated a rating of 122, topping the long category.
