Designed by celebrated architect Hermann Tilke the Yeongam circuit is situated in the beautiful Korean countryside. Whilst this may be one of the F1 calendar’s newest additions, it is also one of its best. Tickets for the 2011 Korean Grand Prix are on sale on Formula1.com.
The track’s rural location in the South Jeolla region gives this event a very unique feel. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the picturesque Korean countryside and experience something more authentic than just the city lights of e.g. Seoul. But don’t let this fool you as the Yeongam track is an impressive facility. It has seating for 130,000 spectators, making it the largest sports stadium in Korea!
Finding accommodation may require a bit of planning but you won’t be sorry for booking a trip to the South Korean Grand Prix!
