Irish-bred Paco Boy took his second successive group success in three weeks in the £200,000 Lockinge Stakes in the UK. Paco Boy now boasts 11 wins and 2 placings from 18 starts for £816,408 in earnings.
Special Duty won the €450,000 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (1600m) after Liliside was emoted to 6th following an extraordinary stewards’ inquiry which involved several race incidents. In the end Special Duty was promoted to the winning position ahead of Baine and Joanna. At her previous start Special Duty similarly won the 1000 Guineas also being 2nd-across-the-line but then promoted by the stewards.
