AFL 2010 Western Bulldogs vs Essendon

Thursday, August 26th, 2010 posted by Tony (Comments)

The Western Bulldogs have suffered heavy losses to Geelong (101 points) and Sydney (44) in the past fortnight. The loss to the Swans was made worse with star midfielder Adam Cooney and defender Dale Morris suffering season-ending hamstring and back injuries respectively while skipper Brad Johnson sustained an Achilles injury and will miss two weeks.

Despite their recent poor form, the Bulldogs are guaranteed of a top-four finish and a qualifying final showdown with first-placed Collingwood. The Dogs will be desperate to gain some momentum heading into the clash against the Magpies and despite having a number of key players on the sidelines they will get the win in this one as Essendon is struggling big time having lost their past three to Carlton (76 points), Collingwood (98) and lowly Brisbane (27).

The smart money is on a Dogs’ win by 1-39, which is offering $2.25.
