Lleyton Hewitt enjoys tennis in North America. He’s won 11 of his 28 tour-level titles in North America and will try to get his 12th title this week at Atlanta. Lleyton is back after serious injury problems and looks to be very motivated to finding his old form. Lleyton is one of the most reliable players in the ATP Tour, winning at least one title out of 12 in the past 13 years. He’s showed very solid tennis this year, especially against Roger Federer in the final match at Halle. In this second round at Atlanta it seems that he has an easy mission.
His opponent, 22 year-old Slovakian Luckas Lacko actually plays worse tennis this year than he did last year. He’s managed to record only 14 wins of 32 played matches in comparison with last year when he lost only 21 matches. His hard court record this year also looks awful with only five wins. He’s also lost to average players like Ruben Bemelmans, Jan Hajek and Dudi Sela.
Former World No. 1 is looking to capture his second title of the season and Lukas Lacko looks too inexperienced to stop his run.
Verdict: Hewitt to win.
