Birmingham City vs Liverpool : Matchday 4 Premier...

Birmingham’s St Andrews ground proved to be a tough place to go last season and Roy Hodgeson’s will know he’ll be in for a tough game in Sunday’s big game.

Brum boss Alex McLiesh had a busy day on transfer deadline day, bringing in former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb, Czech defender Martin Jiranek and Chile winger Jean Beausejour. Both Jiranek and Beausejour could make their debuts on Sunday but fans will have to wait and see Hleb in action after the star injured himself during Belarus midweek fixture. Matt Deryshire may also feature from the start.

Liverpool have been rocked by the injury to Dutch star Dirk Kuyt who will be out for four weeks with a shoulder injury he sustained on international duty with Holland. There’s better news though for Fernando Torres who netted twice for Spain in their opening Euro 2010 qualifier and is now looking sharp after also netting the winner in the Reds last game against West Brom. Deadline day signing Paul Koncheskey is also set to make his Red’s bow at left-back.

Last season: 1-1
Match predication: Birmingham 2-2 Liverpool.
